Exit Planning

We always recommend that business owners undertake an independent exit planning exercise before embarking on a formal sale process. Our review process is normally held off-site and will include as a minimum the following areas:

  • Shareholder objectives e.g. reasons for sale, value aspirations, expectations re timing of sale and length of potential earn-out
  • Business review to assess market positioning, growth potential, attractiveness to potential buyers and areas of weakness that need to be addressed

The exit planning exercise helps to align shareholder objectives at an early stage in the sale process and also highlights the major areas of the business that require attention during the preparation stage.
