Preparing for sale

Our exit planning exercise enables an exit strategy to be developed which will include preparing the business for sale. The preparation stage will address areas of weakness and is required to:

  • Remove value destroyers e.g. addressing tax and legal issues
  • Minimise the impact of due diligence
  • Reduce the possibility of price-chipping by potential purchasers

The preparation stage is essential to increasing shareholder value. Starting the preparation stage at the earliest opportunity will allow time for the company to be as attractive as possible to potential purchasers.
